Sermon Illustrations - Sermon Illustrations from Alamo, The (2004)

This retelling of The Alamo is one of the least sugar-coated versions of this epic battle. It is 1836 and Texas is asserting its status as a nation. Standing in its way is the army of General Santa Anna, who wants to reclaim the land for Mexico. At the crossroads sits the tiny adobe mission that has been converted into an indefensible fort. Against all odds, Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie and a host of brave Texans and tejanos fight to the death to stop Santa Anna's march.

Movie's Sermon General's Warning:
The Alamo contains graphic battle violence and some profanity.

Rating: PG-13      Genre: Historical/Epic
